The canyon views from this casual Southwestern-style steak house are the best of any restaurant at the South Rim. The menu includes chicken, steak (there's good prime rib), and seafood (including salmon), as well as vegetarian options. It's open for lunch from 11:30-3 and for dinner starting at 4:30; seating is first-come, first served, so arrive early to avoid the crowds.

After reading negative reviews, I was concerned about eating there. I was pleasantly surprised. Where else can you look out at Grand Canyon and watch California Condor fly by? Our waiter was great, service was prompt, food was excellant. We were there in July at the height of tourist season and we didn't wait at all. Don't let ney sayers discourage you. Try it, you'll like it.
