By Bus in Grand Canyon

By Bus

There's no public bus transportation to the Grand Canyon. Greyhound Lines provides bus service to Williams, Flagstaff, and Kingman. Schedules change frequently; call or check the Web site for information.

Within the park, there are three free shuttle routes. Hermits Rest Route operates from March through November between Grand Canyon Village and Hermits Rest; it runs every 15 to 30 minutes one hour before sunrise until one hour after sunset, depending on the season. The Village Route operates year-round in the village area from one hour before sunrise until after dark; it is the easiest access to the Canyon View Information Center. The Kaibab Trail Route travels from Canyon View Information Center to Yaki Point, including a stop at the South Kaibab Trailhead.

From mid-May to late October, the Trans Canyon Shuttle leaves Bright Angel Lodge at 1:30 PM and arrives at the North Rim's Grand Canyon Lodge about 6 PM. The return trip leaves the North Rim each morning at 7 AM, arriving at the South Rim at about noon. One-way fare is $65, round-trip $120. A 50% deposit is required two weeks in advance.
