$-$$$, American, Mesa
Fodor's Review:
In a 1908 building that was originally a Mormon church, this family-run restaurant serves all-American home cooking. The traditional dining room is decorated with lace curtains, chandeliers, and white linens, and the food is straightforward and comfy -- roast turkey, prime rib, chicken-fried chicken and steak, and seafood dishes. The real draw, though, is the salad room, probably the largest salad bar you'll ever see, featuring nearly 100 items that include soups, breads, salad fixings, and hot dishes. Save room for landmark ice-cream pie.
