Velvet Elvis Pizza Company Review

There aren't too many places where you can enjoy a pizza heaped with organic veggies, a crisp salad of organic greens tossed with homemade dressing, freshly pressed juice (try the beet-, apple-, and lime-juice concoction), organic wine, and microbrewed or imported beer while surrounded by images of Elvis and the Virgin Mary. Owner Cecilia San Miguel uses a 1930s dough recipe for the restaurant's delightful whole wheat crust; daily specials such as Carne Adobada, tender roasted pork in a red chili sauce, and curried vegetable stew entice those who may seek a lower-carb alternative.

    Perhaps my expectations were too high + they are only open Thurs-Sat, but the pizza was mediocre @ best & the service so-so w/only a few tables filled. I would give them another chance, but would not go out of my way to eat there again.
