¢-$, Italian, Healdsburg
Fodor's Review:
Husband and wife team John Stewart and Duskie Estes serve what they call "slow food. fast." Though you might pop into this casual café at the back of the Plaza Farms market for a half hour, the staff will have spent hours curing the meats that star in the small menu of salads, pizzas, and sandwiches. For instance, the Salumist's Salad mixes a variety of cured meats with greens, white beans, and a tangy vinaigrette, while their thin-crusted pizzas might come topped with house-made Italian pork sausage and roasted peppers. On warm days you can sit in the spare dining room with sunny yellow walls or outdoors on the patio.
