Panamint Springs Resort Review
Ten miles inside the west entrance of the park, this low-key resort overlooks the sand dunes and peculiar geological formations of the Panamint Valley. It's a modest mom-and-pop-style operation with a wraparound porch and rustic furnishings. One room has a king-size bed, and two of the rooms and a cottage accommodate up to six people. A pay phone, a gas pump, and a small general store are on the premises. The resort uses satellite telephones to link to the outside world, so it is sometimes difficult to reach the property via phone. Tent sites and RV hookups are also available.
