River Street Inn Review

On the banks of the Truckee River, this 1885 wood-and-stone inn was at times a boardinghouse and a brothel. Now completely modernized, the uncluttered, comfortable rooms are simply decorated, with attractive, country-style wooden furniture and extras like flat-screen TVs. The cushy beds have top-quality mattresses, down comforters, and high-thread-count sheets. Bathrooms have claw-foot tubs. The affable off-site proprietors are there when you need them.
