Roscoe's House of Chicken 'n Waffles Review
Don't be put off by the name of this casual eatery, which honors a late-night combo popularized in Harlem jazz clubs. Roscoe's is the place for real down-home Southern cooking. Just ask the patrons, who drive from all over L.A. for Roscoe's bargain-price fried chicken, wonderful waffles (which, by the way, turn out to be a great partner for fried chicken), buttery chicken livers, and toothsome grits. Although Roscoe's has the intimate feel of a smoky jazz club, those musicians hanging out here are just taking five.
