Anchoring the south end of Rodeo Drive at Wilshire Boulevard, this hotel may be best known for its exterior: It's the place where Richard Gere ensconced himself with Julia Roberts in the movie Pretty Woman. But inside, this hotel has been an opulent house of luxury since opening in 1928 and it's the place to splurge on a room overlooking Rodeo drive for the quintessential Beverly Hills experience in convenient proximity to all of the luxe shops. A renovation in 2006, along with a name change, pushes it farther up the ladder as a preferred address of the rich and famous with additions such as a 8,000-square-foot spa, Pool Bar & Café, and luxurious poolside cabanas. Need a break in the day? Dip a toe in the glamour of it all and sit courtside to the parade of Jimmy Choos and Louboutins at their restaurant Boulevard on Wilshire overlooking Rodeo Drive.
