Tucked away in the newly revamped Redbury Hotel, Cleo bumps with energy and life in both its ambience and fresh approach to Mediterranean cuisine. Small-plate offerings allow for plenty of sampling. Start with a trio of dips including hummus with tahini, lebaneh (thick yogurt) with feta, and muhammara (walnut garlic spread) that comes with fresh-from-the-oven flatbread. Chicken and lamb kebabs are an ideal segue into the proteins, as is a perfectly roasted lamb shank or moussakah made with eggplant, beef ragù, and feta, and sprinkled with pine nuts. Get your veggie allowance with the Brussels sprouts made with capers, parsley, and almonds, or mushrooms with hazelnuts and dates.
