Bouchon Bistro

Bouchon Bistro Review

Famed chef Thomas Keller finally made it back to Los Angeles and has set-up his French bistro in swanky Beverly Hills. Grand and majestic, but still casual and friendly, there is nothing about an afternoon or night at Bouchon that doesn't make you feel pampered. With little details that separate it from the pack, there's filtered Norwegian water served at every table, a twig-shaped baguette made fresh in the kitchen, and an expansive wine list celebrating California and French wines. It's a foodie scene that welcomes L.A.'s high-profile chefs, celebrities, and locals. Start with its classic onion soup that arrives with a bubbling lid of cheese or the salmon rillettes, which are big enough to share. For dinner, there's a traditional steak and frites, roasted chicken, steamed Maine mussels, and a delicious grilled croque madame. Bouchon Bistro is also known for its beautiful French pastries. For a sweet bite, order an espresso and the profiteroles or the Bouchons (bite-size brownies served with homemade vanilla ice cream). Special dining menus can come with a tour of the multi-million dollar kitchen.
