Berkeley Repertory Theatre

Fodor's Review:

One of the region's highly respected resident professional companies and a Tony Award winner for Outstanding Regional Theatre (in 1997), the theater performs classic and contemporary plays from autumn to spring. Well-known pieces such as Mother Courage and Oliver Twist mix with edgier fare. The theater's complex is near BART's downtown Berkeley station.
