Ace Hotel and Swim Club Review

Take a trip back to the 1960s at the Ace: With the hotel's vintage feel and hippie-chic decor, it would be no surprise to find the Grateful Dead playing in the bar. Guests gather around cozy communal fire pits enjoying the feel-good vibe. Rooms, on two floors of the former Howard Johnson's, are spacious; those on the ground floor have patios with fireplaces. Vintage appointments are simple, and everything inside and out is immaculate. King's Highway restaurant, occupying the old Denny's, gets mixed reviews from locals for its contemporary menu. The hotel is dog-friendly, with its own dog park. The Ace's weekend events draw locals and enhance the party atmosphere.
