San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter

Fodor's Review:

Opened in January 2005, this 22-story hotel is in the midst of all the Gaslamp's restaurants and boutiques, a short walk to the trolley station, convention center, and Petco Park. It has sweeping views of downtown and the waterfront as well as right into the ballpark; be sure to visit Altitude, the rooftop bar, for the panorama. Rooms offer luxury linens, 27-inch flat-screen TVs, a laptop safe, and gourmet coffee. There's wireless Internet throughout. The restaurant, Soleil @ K, emphasizes fresh produce and meats, prepared simply.
