San Diego Restaurants

Candelas

Candelas Review

The scents and flavors of imaginative Mexican cuisine with a European flair permeate this handsome, romantic restaurant and nightspot in the shadow of San Diego's tallest residential towers. Candles glow everywhere around the small, comfortable dining room and lounge. Fine openers such as black bean soup and greens with sautéed tomatoes give way to main courses like salmon stuffed with Brie and crab meat. Drinks are half price during happy hour from 5 to 9 pm Sundays through Thursdays and 5 to 7 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
