Trattoria Fantastica

Trattoria Fantastica Review

Sicilian flavors abound on the trattoria menu here, highlighted by such offerings as a salmon salad at lunch, linguine with clams, and the pasta palermitana—rigatoni with spicy sausage, olives, capers, and marinara sauce. The seafood pastas are particularly popular, as are the robust, well-seasoned pizzas baked in the stone oven. There is a pastry shop and gelateria at the front of the restaurant; head farther back for the rustic Italian dining room and the romantic courtyard. Call ahead if you want to score a table in the courtyard, and keep this in mind as a snack break for beautiful pastries, remarkable gelato, and freshly brewed Italian coffees. There's live piano music Friday through Sunday nights.
