The Mission
The Mission Review
With its simple but hearty café food, the Mission is a popular spot for breakfast. You'll find options ranging from traditional fare (eggs, pancakes) to the Latino-inspired (the Papas Locas or "crazy potatoes" will burn a hole in your tongue). There are also locations in Mission Beach (3795 Mission Blvd., 858/488-9060) and North Park (2801 University Ave., 619/220-8992). If you really sleep in, they serve lunch as well, but close at 3 pm.
