You will find no frills here -- and minimal service and housekeeping -- but you will find food fresh off the fire at rock-bottom prices. This is just one location in a local minichain of Indian-Pakistani eateries that cater primarily to starving students, poorly paid office workers, local South Asians, and anyone else who likes spicy food but doesn't give a damn about ambience. The tandoor-fired chicken tikka masala, earthy baigan bharta (an eggplant dish cooked with onions and tomatoes), and tongue-scorching tandoori lamb chops are favorites. The music is too loud, but the naan is the size of a hubcap and the chai tea is free.
