California Polytechnic University at Pomona

California Polytechnic University at Pomona Review

The university occupies 1,438 acres of the Kellogg Ranch, originally the winter home of cereal magnate W.K. Kellogg. Cal Poly specializes in teaching agriculture, and you can find rose gardens, avocado groves, many farm animals, and a working Arabian horse ranch. The Farm Store (4102 University Dr. S. 909/869-4906, open daily 10-6) sells locally grown seasonal fruit and vegetables, campus-grown pork and beef, cheeses and other deli items, gift baskets, and plants grown in the university nursery.
