Big Bear Discovery Center

Big Bear Discovery Center Review

Operated by the forest service, this nature center is the place to sign up for a canoe ride through Grout Bay. Naturalist-led Discovery Tours include visits to the Baldwin Lake Ecological Reserve or Holcomb Valley, where a small gold rush took place more than a century ago. The center also has flora and fauna exhibits and a large gift shop. Center staffers provide maps and camping and hiking information.
