Tie on your bib and dig in. No one will mind if your hands and face are covered in the secret sauce that tops the slow-cooked meats and chicken at this rustic, log cabin-style joint. These hickory-smoked baby back ribs have won more than 40 national competitions. The rustic Hickory House is also home to Aspen's only Southern-style breakfast, grits and all. And after a late night on the town, nothing beats a breakfast of ribs and eggs.

This restaurant is the best in Aspen, great food, fun, relaxed, unpretentious, great value, original in every way.RATING: 4.2
