Hotel Colorado

Hotel Colorado Review

Modern-day Glenwood Springs is where many of those who work in Aspen live. Its many strip malls, chain motels, and fast-food outlets may surprise visitors expecting a purely historical town that time forgot. That said, remnants of her glory days can still be seen in the grand old Hotel Colorado, regally commanding the vaporous pools from a patrician distance. Modeled after the Villa de Medici in Italy, the property opened its doors in 1893. Teddy Roosevelt even made it his unofficial "Little White House" in 1905.
