Gold Hill General Store and Cafe Review
Stop at the much-photographed Gold Hill General Store and Cafe, on the National Register of Historic Places, for a tasty, made-to-order sandwich and a bowl of hearty homemade soup before driving the last few miles to the Peak-to-Peak Byway. The green chile served with tortillas is excellent—spicy and savory, but not so hot that you won't be able to enjoy a house-made pastry and espresso drink for dessert.
