Oskar Blues Cajun Grill & Brewery

Oskar Blues Cajun Grill & Brewery Review

The first U.S. microbrewery to put its beer into cans, and now the largest-producing brewpub in America, Oskar Blues has become Lyons's hot spot for beer as well as music and pub grub. Try Dale's Pale Ale—it's not as hoppy as most American ales—or any of the other robust beers brewed in small (20-barrel) batches. The burgers are consistently awesome, and come in interesting varieties, including a spicy Creole number, plus three named in honor of music legends—Elvis, B.B. King, and Satchmo. Blues instruments and covers of blues CDs decorate the restaurant. In the basement, a "juke joint" frequently hosts live music, and there's a bluegrass jam every Tuesday night. Free tours of the brewery are offered Monday-Thursday at 4 pm and Friday-Sunday at 2, 3, 4, and 5 pm.
