This three-story 1915 log home, one of the town's oldest residences, was converted into a charming inn with theme rooms popular with couples. When business became brisk, the owners added the neighboring Eagle Street Bed & Breakfast and the Grouse Creek Inn. These properties have two-person hot tubs, river-rock fireplaces, and private decks or patios overlooking the Eagle River. Hearty breakfasts are included. Pros: historic lodgings, view of the river, fireplaces. Cons: removed from the ski resort, few room and hotel amenities.

The Minturn Inn is a cozy, luxurious B&B just a few minutes from Vail and Beaver Creek Resorts. The people who run the Inn are very warm, considerate people who will make every effort to make sure you have a great stay. While there is as much privacy as you need, there is also a very communal feel in the common rooms that was very inviting for this solo traveller. Five stars!
