W Washington, D.C Review

From the DJ spinning tunes in the living room-style lobby to the oversize flat-screen TV near the doorway that broadcasts an image of a flickering fireplace to the ultramodern room furnishings, every detail here screams urban chic—and does so with style. Despite the hotel's Manhattan-hipster vibe, it is nearly impossible to forget that you are actually in D.C.: floor-to-ceiling windows in the award-winning J&G Steakhouse restaurant offer spectacular views of the Washington Monument (to say nothing of the fact that the food and service are top-notch). And it's hard to get a better look at the White House than from the exclusive ultramodern POV rooftop bar lounge.

Where Hip Parents with Kids Stay

As with all W Hotels, this is a great spot for the young, single and beautiful. The secret is that it's a great Hotel for lively parents that want to comprise a family trip with funky fun as well. My kids 7-19 equally appreciated the ambience and car service to the mall. I enjoyed the club conviently located upstairs after all were asleep. Easy access to WHite House, monuments and museums.
