Myanmar, the country formerly known as Burma, is bordered by India, Thailand, and China, which gives a good indication of the cuisine at this Chinatown restaurant. Curry and tamarind share pride of place with lemon, cilantro, and soy seasonings. Batter-fried eggplant and squash are paired with complex, peppery sauces. Green-tea-leaf and other salads leave the tongue with a pleasant tingle. Such entrées as mango pork and tamarind fish are equally satisfying. The style and feel of the place aren't much, but this quiet gem can be a worthwhile escape from the hustle and bustle of the neighborhood.
