Ray's Hell Burger

Ray's Hell Burger Review

The ambience is nothing to write home about, but the succulent beef—freshly ground in-house every day—at this unassuming suburban spot is nothing short of sublime. Owner Michael Landrum, who pioneered the no-frills foodie-mecca concept at Ray's the Steaks just down the street, is nothing short of fanatical about quality and variety, and here he backs up the hype with toppings that range from marinated mushrooms to fluffy, tangy blue cheese. Burgers can be ordered blackened, Cajun, or grilled, and all come with watermelon. Fries and beer are now available here too, which didn't dissuade President Obama and Vice President Biden, whose "working lunch" at Ray's caused such crowds that Landrum had to move to a bigger location.
