Paul

Paul Review

This chic, quick café is the Parisian equivalent of Starbucks, but that doesn't mean Americans of all walks of life won't be blown away by the fluff of its cheese gougeres puffs, the heft of its salty-sweet croque monsieur sandwich, and the delicate crunch of its almond-flour macaron cookies. A recently opened spinoff in Georgetown has not sapped the appeal of Paul's perfect pastry, so lengthy waits are to be expected during the lunch rush. But when you compare its price and quality to other downtown lunch options after a morning of museum trekking, nothing comes close.
