By Air

Miami International Airport (MIA) is 34 mi from Homestead and 83 mi from Flamingo in Everglades National Park. Airporter runs shuttle buses three times daily that stop at the Hampton Inn in Florida City on their way between MIA and the Florida Keys. Shuttle service, which takes about an hour, runs 6:10 AM to 5:20 PM from Florida City, 7:30 AM to 6 PM from the airport. Reserve at least 24 hours in advance. Pickups can be arranged for all baggage-claim areas. The cost is $30 one-way. SuperShuttle operates 11-passenger air-conditioned vans to Homestead. Service from MIA is available around the clock; booths are outside most luggage areas on the lower level. For the return to MIA, reserve 24 hours in advance. The one-way cost is $41 per person. Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers, about an hour away from Everglades City, is the closest major airport to the Everglades western access. On-demand taxi transportation from the airport to Everglades City runs about $100.
