With its whirling ceiling fans, this 50-plus-year-old open-air restaurant easily could serve as a movie set for a 1950s-era film noir based in the tropics. The crowd is a mix of visitors who can't resist a place that looks like this and fisher-folk from the marina next door. At the Marathon end of the Seven Mile Bridge, this restaurant's menu won't wow you, but you can count on friendly servers delivering casual food at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Standards on the mostly seafood menu include creamy shrimp bisque, stuffed crabs, beer-steamed shrimp, and mahimahi -- grilled, blackened, or fried. Don't pass up the authentic key lime pie, which won the local paper's "Best in the Keys" award three years in a row.

Stopped by for the "Best of the Keys" Key Lime pie, and there was no mistaking it! The pie was excellent! Staff was friendly and I loved the open-air atmosphere of the dining area. Definitely a must-stop for the pie if not for a meal as well!
