Popular for its 36 holes of championship golf (on courses designed by Jerry Pate and Tom Fazio), this upscale resort is 12 mi north of Destin via the Mid-Bay Bridge, on the shores of Choctawhatchee Bay. It offers vacation rentals ranging from motel rooms to villas to patio homes. Tennis courts are privately owned, but you can use them for a special rate.
