Amelia Hotel & Suites

Fodor's Review:

Across the street from the beach, this mid-size inn is not only convenient but an economical and family-friendly alternative to the luxury resorts and romantic and kid-unfriendly B&Bs that populate the area. The beach and several restaurants are within walking distance, particularly convenient for families. Parents will also appreciate the hotel-wide no-smoking policy and continental breakfast served each morning in the lobby. Rooms are modestly furnished and have ocean views (provided you're not near-sighted) and pool views (considering the pool is practically in the parking lot, it's not much to look at). Pros: complimentary breakfast, free Wi-Fi, suites feature Tempur-Pedic mattresses. Cons: pool is small and only open seasonally, not all rooms have balconies, no onsite restaurant.

  • Hotel Details: 90 rooms, 18 suites
  • In-room: kitchen (some), refrigerator (some), Wi-Fi.
  • In-hotel: pool, public Wi-Fi, parking (free), some pets allowed, no-smoking rooms.
  • Rate includes: Continental breakfast
  • Credit Cards: AE, D, MC, V
