Carriage Way Bed and Breakfast

Fodor's Review:

The grandly restored vernacular-style mansion with Victorian details is within walking distance of the old town. Innkeepers Bill Johnson and his family see to such welcoming touches as fresh flowers, home-baked breads, and evening cordials, and are happy to dispense advice about what to see and where to eat. Special-occasion breakfasts, flowers, picnic lunches, romantic dinners, or a simple family supper can be arranged with advance notice. Younger children are permitted when guests rent the cottage, a beautifully restored late 1800s retreat several doors down from the main building. Pros: gourmet breakfast, central location, cleanliness. Cons: no pool, two-night minimum on weekends, no TV in some rooms.

  • Hotel Details: 11 rooms
  • In-room: kitchen (some), DVD (some), no TV (some), Wi-Fi.
  • In-hotel: public Wi-Fi, bicycles, parking (free), no-smoking rooms.
  • Rate includes: Full breakfast
  • Credit Cards: D, MC, V
