The high rollers and ladies of the night were chased away long ago, but this charming guesthouse can still tickle your imagination with its jaded past as a gambling hall and bordello. Two blocks off Duval Street, in the heart of Old Town Key West, it's a home away from home that offers simple, clean, attractively priced accommodations. Rooms range from those sharing a hallway bath, community refrigerator, and microwave, to spacious rooms with king beds and sleeper sofas. Built in the 1920s, this rambling, yellow-and-white wooden building has second-floor porches, gabled roofs, and a white picket fence. The current owners prettied the rooms with flower-print curtains and linens and added homemade cinnamon rolls, which receive rave reviews in the guest book, to the inclusive breakfast bar. A lagoon-style pool, fountain, and old bricks accent a lovely garden that begs you to sip a tropical concoction and forget what's left behind. Pros: good value, clean, friendly staff. Cons: thin walls, shared balcony porch, basic.

A nice place that adds a unique touch to the Key West experience. The owner Kevin was more than polite and helpful. It's rare to see such good service in today's society. Kudos!

Comfortable room. Staff could not do enough for you. Within walking distance to everything. Would stay there again.
