$$$$, South Beach/Miami Beach
Fodor's Review:
Exuding the glamour of Old Hollywood, this SoBe pied-à-terre is a hot spot for today's Tinseltown A-listers and visitors hoping to spy them. The sprawling, six-building property has room for private cabanas and a beach house on the sand and a series of gardens separated by courtyards and reflecting pools. Rooms are fairly large and serenely beautiful, with dashes of color among the blond-wood furniture and stainless-steel accents. Part of the upscale Nobu chain, the restaurant serves Japanese-Peruvian cuisine and draws healthy crowds. Other healthy crowds can be found at the rooftop Spa at the Shore Club. In terms of lounging, people-watching, and poolside glitz, this is the best of South Beach. Pros: Great outdoor lounge, good restaurants and bars, and nightlife in your backyard. Con: Bustling scene makes it less private for guests.
