This boutique hotel dating from 1935 was awakened from a long art-deco sleep when Miami designer Peter Page and manager Laura Sheridan -- who came to Miami with Ian Schrager to open the Delano -- created a South Beach rarity combining style and warmth. What is white elsewhere is sage green and blond wood here. Shield-shaped armoires conceal minibars, and tiled bathrooms with rain-forest shower heads are built for those who take grooming and primping seriously. (Framed floor-to-ceiling mirrors serve the same purpose.) Keep your eyes peeled for celebs who frequent Mark's, the restaurant run by James Beard Award-winning chef Mark Militello, downstairs. Pros: Ivy-covered walls and a quiet courtyard, plus a trio of cute pools. Con: City-view rooms overlook a rooftop.
