db Bistro Moderne Miami

db Bistro Moderne Miami Review

One of America's most celebrated French chefs, Daniel Boulud brings his renowned cooking to the Miami scene. The menu of Boulud's latest outpost pays homage to the different cuisines and specialties of his homeland and surrounding regions, beginning with a fabulous raw bar alongside regional tasting plates such as the "Assiette Provencale" with mackerel escabeche, black olive tapenade, goat cheese with pear, and Swiss chard barbajuan. Moving on to the second course, choose from a dozen hot and cold small plates, like the signature "Daniel Boulud's Smoked Salmon," escargots persillade with wild burgundy snails simmered in parsley, garlic, salted butter with yellow tomatoes and wild mushrooms, and the tomato tarte tatin. For the main course, the authentic coq au vin and the moules piquante are guaranteed crowd pleasers, channeling images and/or memories of France through the tastes and smells of the restaurant's flagship dishes.
