The Miami outpost of this NYC institution—set inside the fabulous Fontainebleau resort—is often cited as the best steak house in South Florida's oversaturated meat market. It's not hard to see why. The apps, meats, seafood, and sides are all stellar. The Gotham Raw bar presents top-of-the-line stone crabs, succulent sashimis, excellent ceviches, and a fantastic chilled Maine lobster salad with fresh avocado, orange, fennel and citrus vinaigrette. Classic cuts from the grill, namely the Kansas City Strip and Porterhouse, wow even hard-core carnivores—these can be prepared simply or with one of six sauces, such as bearnaise. Naturally, Gotham offers the full gamut of decadent sides, including the must-try creamed corn with Manchego cheese and jalapeño.
