Many European designers open their first North American signature store at this outdoor, pedestrian-friendly mall, and many American designers open their first boutique outside of New York here. Restaurants and cafés, in tropical garden settings, overflow with style-conscious diners. People-watching on the terrace of the Japenese restaurant Makoto is the best in town. The ambience is oh-so-Rodeo Drive.
