bb's Review

Sleek yet cozy, this hip bistro is as popular with corporate types looking to close a deal as it is with young lovebirds seemingly on the verge of popping the question (though shouting the question might be more appropriate, considering how loud the dining room can get on weekends). The concrete floors and a stainless-steel wine bar provide an interesting backdrop for comfort-food-inspired entrées and daily specials that might include char-grilled beef tenderloin, pan-seared diver scallops with housemade parsnip pierogies, or linguini with catalan-style black angus meatballs. On the lighter side, grilled pizzas, sandwiches, and salads, especially the warm goat-cheese salad, are favorites. Although a wait is common, you can pass the time sizing up the display of diet-destroying desserts.
