Fodor's Review:
Small and intimate, this 1922 establishment feels almost like a private home. Best accommodations are front garden suites with a living room that opens onto a long balcony usually abloom with impatiens and bougainvillea. Balconies are so covered with shrubs and ferns that they are somewhat private, inspiring more than a few romantic interludes. A half-dozen sidewalk cafés and many more upscale boutiques and shops surround the hotel. Also, the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of Art is within two blocks. Park Plaza Gardens, the restaurant downstairs, offers quiet atrium dining and excellent food. Pros: romantic; great balconies overlooking Park Avenue; short walk to shops and restaurants. Cons: no small children allowed; small rooms; Disney is 60 minutes away.
