Getting Oriented
Central Florida runs from Tampa/St. Petersburg in the west through Orlando and to the Space Coast attractions of Daytona Beach and Cape Canaveral on the east coast. Orlando is more or less equidistant, about 90 minutes by car to the Gulf of Mexico. Walt Disney World is not, contrary to advertising, in Orlando, but lies about 25 mi southwest of the city.
