2 East El Camino Real

2 East El Camino Real Review

Built in 1926 as the headquarters of the Mizner Development Corporation, this is an example of Mizner's characteristic Spanish-revival architectural style, with its wrought-iron grilles, handmade tiles, and a towering century-old Banyan tree in the courtyard. Stop by for a peek in the daytime (at night it becomes a private-event venue). As for Mizner's grandiose vision of El Camino Real, the architect-promoter once prepared brochures promising a sweeping wide boulevard with Venetian canals and arching bridges. Camino Real is attractive, heading east to the Boca Raton Resort & Club, but don't count on feeling like you're in Venice—the canal system was never completed.
