Lines move quickly here. Why? Because once they reach the top, a lot of people chicken out and head back down the stairs. Here's why: You step inside a large enclosed capsule. The attendant looks through the glass door to make sure your arms and legs are crossed (thereby preventing wedgies) and punches a button to release the trapdoor. Then, like a bomb dropping out of a plane, you free-fall almost straight down for 76 feet before skimming down the long, steep slide. The force of the water on your feet, legs, and back rivals the emotional toll it took to take the plunge in the first place, but, oh, what a trip! The line might look long but moves quickly, so get on it anytime—if you dare to ride the ride, that is.
