Piedmont Park Review

A popular destination since the late 19th century, Piedmont Park is still expanding: 35 acres complete with a fountain and new sports facilities were added in 2011, and another 15 were tacked on in 2012. Tennis courts, a swimming pool, a popular dog park, and paths for walking, jogging, and rollerblading are part of the attraction, but many retreat to the park's great lawn for picnics with a smashing view of the Midtown skyline.

    Pleasant park to visit

    A pleasing and good-sized park, several blocks walk from the Midtown MARTA stop. Has a lake and a few tree-covered areas, but mostly consists of open green space (about half of this given over to sports fields and such) that's good for games, running around, and sunbathing. Seems popular with locals. The Botanical Garden is adjacent to the park's north rim.
