Sidney Lanier Cottage

Sidney Lanier Cottage Review

America has more tributes to Sidney Lanier, famous poet and musician of the Old South, than the years he lived. And it all starts at his birthplace, this charming 1840 structure that features much of Lanier's writings among the period furnishings. Even his bride's tiny wedding gown is on show. Lanier died of tuberculosis at 39 after he was captured during the Civil War.
