Byrd Cookie Company & Gourmet Marketplace, founded in 1924, sells picture tins of Savannah and gourmet foodstuffs such as condiments and dressings. It's the best place to get benne wafers, "the seed of good luck" and trademark Savannah cookies, which are also sold in numerous gift shops around town.
