This colorful café is well worth a trip a bit off the beaten path to Savannah's Southside. It's a favorite for Savannahians entertaining out-of-town visitors; no one, it seems, leaves unsatisified. The menu defines the term "eclectic," with plenty of appealing options for both vegetarians and meat eaters, including wasabi pea-encrusted tuna, tempura portobello, black-bean burgers, spanakopita, Jamaican jerk chicken, and rib-eye steaks.

As visitors to Savannah, we were looking for a place that was not a tourist trap of a restaurant. This fit the bill perfectly. It's our favorite local restaurant in our favorite city. We began with the tortilla soup, which was just perfect. The shrimp appetizer was yummy, too. Our entrees were the Jamaican jerk tilapia and the Veal with gorgonzola sauce, need I say more? The protion sizes wer generous, but not too overwhelming, and the service was delightful.
