This small island, just offshore from Liliuokalani Gardens, is accessible via a footbridge. It was considered a place of healing in ancient times. Today children play in the tide pools while fisherfolk try their luck.

So will you. It has a small sandy beach that the kids can splash & frolic in and build sand castle. Very beautiful views of Hilo, the Lili'uokalani Gardens. A great place to slow down and enjoy a quiet afternoon.

This pretty island right next to the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel was a lovely place to take a stroll and I would have definitely spent more time here if we were in Hilo longer. A great picinic and swimming spot with beautiful views of Hilo!

Not a must see, but if you're around the area, it's a nice little walk.
